Since I have just joined the ‘world’ of blogging I have been surfing and looking at others to get ideas and read to what others do and like. I Just want to share about a particular blog that I recently have viewed and found extremely interesting!

LG15 was created on May the 12^th 2006. It is personally based by four people. It’s not a particularly important site to anyone although it does scratch the surface a little bit, it presents itself as more of an entertainment or and escape for bloggers, and I believe that a blog like this is exceptionally good as it distracts teenagers from their daily life situations and enables them to connect with other teenagers that may be facing the same issues or to turn to them for some comic relief. It obviously gives them something to come home to from school/uni/work and as I said before something to connect with. (Judged by the comments posted and the amount of viewers and friends).

However one would think that a shared blog by four people is extremely interesting as it has different people’s opinions and interests listed and talked about, especially in this one. But what also makes this blog different too is the amount of viewers it has. (217,060 views) and friends 157463). It has won 10 ‘blog awards’ for example; ‘Most viewed daily’ and ‘most subscribed for this week’. How one blog wins such achievements? I guess by its consistency and content.

At first it looks like a lot of writing and videos splattered around the webpage the layout isn’t very structured, however when looking more productively you would see that the videos are set as series of four people individually and in a group embarking on new adventures or basically just talking to each other about recent events taking place in their lives. This setup makes the blog more engaging and dynamic… (Not Boring). It has a simple background of the basic colour blue, as mentioned earlier it’s not structured in layout wise however it is easy to understand and follow.

This blog has not been in newspapers however it is mentioned on other webpage’s for its popularity and substance. (www.internetfamous.com) there are links on these pages and because of this it is easy to get viewing on the actual LG15 page; It also uses ‘Youtube’ as a source and a link another good way of getting onto the LG15 blog. As it does have subscribers I believe that this page full of setup videos and natural videos could become a professional enterprise. I spent in total 1.5 hours looking around and watching the videos posted, some could say that is because of my slow internet connection however I do believe that it is mainly because of the intensity hidden behind four young faces and there ideas posted daily sometimes hourly.

In my opinion it is another web distraction although it obviously does serve another purpose and that is to bring a sense of reality in a total serial world to its viewers.
